Nothing cleared the last-12-hours standard with enough reputable U.S. reporting to justify a real roundup tonight. And no, we are not microwaving a five-day-old court order, slapping on some parsley, and calling it breaking news. That’s how you wind up with an empty Michelob bottle making editorial decisions.
There are still major, documented fights already on the board: a federal judge recently limited warrantless immigration arrests in Southern California, and the Supreme Court recently rejected the administration’s proposed mail-ballot restrictions before the midterms. But those developments were reported outside tonight’s required window, so they stay off the main plate.
Better to leave the tray empty than serve the readers a roast-beef sandwich made of stale headlines and vibes.
